RESTORATION, REVOLUTION & RESURGENCE:

A Merry monarch, a deposed monarchy, a joint monarchy, a fat monarch and life under them...

Course will look at why Charles II was restored and why James II lost his throne, some great men like Pepys, Newton and Wren, all of whom have Cambridge connections and some wicked women.  The origins of the Irish problems and the horrors of Glencoe will feature along with life in London at the time of the plague and the fire.
