A Very Warm Welcome
to Linton & District WEA & the Cambridgeshire Federation of WEA Branches
|
|
|
|
|
The
Linton WEA Branch is a small, but very successful cog
in one of the UK's biggest charities and largest provider of adult education, which operates
at local, regional and national levels. Nationally,
the WEA has nine regions in England, a Scottish Association
and over 650 local branches. The Linton WEA branch
is a member of the Cambridgeshire Federation, which
in turn comes under the Eastern Region, with its HQ
in Cambridge. |

Here at Linton WEA we share the Passion, Vision and Aims of
our national body. However, like many other local branches,
we are also able at a local level to go that little bit extra
by bringing our own unique Friendly, Caring and Sharing attitude
to all our many students in Linton and the surrounding villages
of Abington, Balsham, Hildersham, West Wickham, Weston Colville
and in some cases much farther afield.
We like to regard ourselves as a Family of Friends
that meet once a week - generally on a Tuesday - where equally
importantly we stimulate, enrich and keep our minds and lives
active through learning, whilst keeping our hearts and souls
warm and fulfilled by the company and friendship of our fellow
students.
During these difficult financial times, the Linton WEA branch will do all it can to enable its students to stay on its courses. No-one should feel they cannot attend for financial reasons. Please see and use the side panels for help & guidance.
We invite you to browse at your leisure and navigate your
way around our website and we all sincerely hope that after
your journey you might like to come and join the 50 or so
other students on one of our courses.
Hoping to see you soon. Kindest Regards,
Andrew Westwood-Bate:
